About our Organization
Finally Home, Inc. Animal Sanctuary was established in 2021 to rescue and rehabilitate horses, dogs, and cats.
We are a federally recognized not-for-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing a safe home for our animals, supporting local veterans, and working with local organizations to provide volunteer opportunities within the community.

Who We Are & What We Do
Our journey to becoming a sanctuary began unexpectedly. After purchasing our farm, we initially started by assisting friends whose horses required medical attention and weight gain. Recognizing a broader need, we soon noticed dogs in need of homes. We proactively reached out to individuals offering these dogs for free, understanding the potential risks of them ending up in unsuitable homes or being used for breeding.
Shortly after we began rescuing horses, cats started appearing on our farm. We took it upon ourselves to trap, vet, spay, and neuter these animals. We worked with local organizations at first to help assist with the TNR efforts, but when we became a sanctuary, the funding now came from our own savings. As we continued to provide medical care, the costs escalated, and we eventually depleted our savings. This financial strain led us to formalize our efforts and establish a 501(c)(3) sanctuary.
Our passion for rescuing animals stems from a deep-rooted love for them. My commitment to animal welfare has been a lifelong journey. As a child, I rescued a homing pigeon, nursed it back to health, and watched it fly away. Growing up in a home filled with dogs and cats, my affinity for animals came naturally. Over the years, I have rescued animals found on the roadside, providing them with necessary veterinary care. I have also assisted injured birds by taking them to animal rehabilitation centers like Bay Beach, and I have helped baby bunnies found by our cats and dogs, ensuring they received proper care at animal rehab facilities.
Our sanctuary was born out of necessity and a heartfelt commitment to animal welfare. We continue to dedicate ourselves to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing animals in need, driven by the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a better life.
We are a small operation with a big heart. We are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand! We especially strive to help veterans with PTSD through working with the animals and chores around the farm.
Our volunteers help take care of the animals, pickup donations, help with maintenance needs, build shelters for the animals, and more!
